HOW DO I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?

To schedule an appointment, please contact us via phone, email, or through our online booking system on the website.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT IN AN INITIAL APPOINTMENT?

​Sessions are personalised based on your needs and goals. This often includes taking a case history, assessment and recommendations. 

HOW LONG WILL AN INITIAL APPOINTMENT TAKE?

Up to 60 minutes.

DO I NEED A REFERRAL FROM A DOCTOR TO START SPEECH THERAPY?

We usually do not require a referral from a doctor. Please contact us to discuss this further.

WHAT ARE THE PAYMENT OPTIONS?

We email an invoice after the session which can be paid via direct debit or credit card (surcharge applies). If you do not have internet banking, we can also accept cash payments. 

DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE FOR SPEECH THERAPY SERVICES?

​You will need to discuss with your insurance provider as to whether Allied Health providers are covered in your insurance plan.

ARE YOU AN ACC PROVIDER?

Yes. Please contact us to discuss this further. 

DO YOU OFFER VIDEO APPOINTMENTS (TELEHEALTH)?

Yes, we provide video appointments. Please let us know if you are interested.

DO YOU OFFER HOME VISITS?

Yes we do. We charge travel at the IRD rates from our clinic at 20 Peachgrove Road. 

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO MY INITIAL CONSULTATION?

Please bring a list of your medications and any relevant medical reports e.g. ENT or neurology report.

For a swallowing consult it can be helpful (but not essential) to bring with you a food you find particularly challenging to swallow. We will also provide a selection of foods for the appointment. Please let us know if you have any allergies or intolerances. 

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I AM SICK OR CAN NO LONGER ATTEND THE APPOINTMENT?

Please let us know as soon as possible so we can reschedule your appointment.
